Security cameras are most frequently installed in commercial buildings but the same benefits apply to the home. Security cameras have a variety of features for different needs and configurations.

For home security, cameras can be added to almost every area of your home, viewable through an app on your smartphone. Recording can be triggered through a doorbell or by motion detection.

• Night Vision - Exterior cameras are no longer restricted by daylight. Night vision technology allows security cameras to provide the same protection in low light.
• Web Monitoring - There is no longer a need to have a TV to view security footage or record tapes. Live security video is available through an app that can be accessed by your smartphone or tablet.
• Vandal-Proof Cameras - For outdoor applications, vandal-proof cameras are made using a hard casing and break-proof glass. This makes them very difficult to disable.
• Dome Cameras - Dome Cameras can point in any direction of the room, but people in the room cannot tell which way the camera is pointing.

Door Locks

You'll be able to lock or unlock your doors or garage doors through a mobile app. Also, you can receive alerts if you forget to close your garage door, or receive custom notifications when family members arrive home.

Intelligent Lighting

Through the app, you can schedule when lights turn on and off, making it appear that you are at home. Lights can also be triggered by an event, such as unlocking a door.

Smart Thermostat

Energy management is easy with a smart thermostat. You'll be able to schedule when your heating or cooling systems go on, keeping your house comfortable while you're away. Also, through the app, you can determine where you're consuming the most energy, and you can make changes to make your home more efficient.

What happens if the power goes out?

These systems have 24-hour battery backups and connect via a dedicated cellular connection, so even when the power, phone lines and broadband are out, you will still be able to access your home security system.

Will I have to rewire my system?

Not for most items. Smart lighting is simple, and can be connected to your system through a smart bulb or a smart plug. Locks will need to be replaced with smart locks to connect with the system, but no wiring will be needed. Smart thermostats will require knowledge of wiring and your home's heating and cooling system to avoid damage.

Security Keypads

Wireless security systems have many benefits, including access to all parts of the home through a keypad. Berley Security offers a variety of keypads to best suit the needs of our clients. Features available on security keypads include:

• Full Voice Response - The panel can give clear notifications letting you know what is going on inside your home, including alerts, system status, zone descriptions and emergencies.
• Stay and Away Keys - These buttons automatically switch the security system settings. For example "stay" would keep alarms activated on doors and windows, but disable all motion sensors within the home.
• Zone Control - The ability to activate and deactivate the alarm for specific rooms in the building.
• Two-Way Response - When a signal is received, you will be connected to a central station operator, so you can ensure the proper emergency personnel can be dispatched.
• Remote Access - Control the alarm system through a smartphone or over the the internet.
• Built-in Automation - In addition to security functions, the keypad can enable various home automation functions like HVAC, garage doors, or lighting control.

Security Essentials

• Motion Detectors - Motion detectors will sound the alarm if someone finds a way into your home. These sensors can be positioned to avoid going off for a dog or cat. You can activate your motion sensor and leave your pet in the home.

• Emergency Services - Alarm systems not only contact the police in case of a break-in, but they can also be used to contact emergency services in the case of a medical problem or a fire.
